Yes, we ended up choosing a different house than the first one I asked about. We were sure we would get that one, then this one came on and we loved it.
It's 22 Harris Rd in Meredith. Love the inside and only needs a little work on it. The dock is another situation we are trying to figure out. For starters, it's quite old. We aren't sure if that is gonna be an issue. Second, we don't know if we want to get a boat lift or use the whips that are already on the dock. I sense that the lift will be quite a purchase, but we think it might be worth it. Curious if anyone else has one and likes it or not. We also would like to put a place for our jet skis. I understand that we need some permits for that, but assuming I get those, is that all I need? Not sure if what we were looking at (EZ docks) is considered a permanent dock, and if that has any effect on it. |

As someone else mentioned, I think you would be better off finding a local dock company that could design and permit a dock for your specific location and needs. You may have to use the dock that's there for a while because the process isn't quick, but a beautiful dock system will enhance the value of that property and the quality time you spend out there. |

I would not replace that permanent dock with a plastic and metal pipe dock! Horrible idea. Maybe re-deck it if needed with composite to dress it up. It looks fine in the listing. If it really needs to be redone, have it done the same way in a permanent dock.
Install a pair of sunlift minis perpendicular to the dock with a catwalk in between to access your pwc or a pair of ports. With 135 feet of frontage there you are limited to a single finger dock. You can have a 30’ permanent or a 40’ crank up/seasonal by DES regulations unless you have limited depth which it doesn’t appear you do. If the existing dock is longer than 30’ it’s grandfathered. |

Is it correct that now if you register your dock you can repair it without a permit as long as you keep the same footprint?

https://www.des.nh.gov/sites/g/files...ents/wb-28.pdf Not needed for seasonal docks, but it covers you for 5 years on a permanent dock. Seems like a money grab to me, although if you know you need repairs it may be worth registering before repairing to avoid the permit process. |

Also, if it is seasonal, I assume I can get someone to do that for me every year? I personally don't want to be worrying about that every year, come May and again in September. |
