Question Pine Island Cam - Temperature

I'm wondering if perhaps Pine Island Guy is having a little fun with us or if he is experiencing a mechanical problem. This morning on the "Pine Island Cam there was a beautiful picture of a sunrise and the camera had the correct date and time... but the thermometer in the picture was indicating 50 degrees! Oh if it were only so!

It's up to 60 now. I suspect it has to do with being hit with direct sun and a thermometer that has a metal back. Solar gain is a wonderful thing!

It'll probably be 110 in June!
