I need to replace the drive-belt on my Craftsman front wheel drive lawnmower.
I removed the belt but there is no writing on the belt for an item/part# ? The belt is a v-belt, 3/8", and I believe is about 32". The mower is a: Craftsman BRIGGS & STRATTON 6.25HP 190CC SELF-PROPELLED Ser#: 090109M-015041 Model# 126T05-1349B1 00061 Platnum Series Even with all this info., I cannot find a part# for the belt? Think just getting a 32" belt will work ? I hate to make 2 trips to Lowes......... |

Bring the belt to a auto parts store. They should be able to find you a alternative. I have had good luck at O’Reilly’s

Are you sure about that model number? A google search for that exact number brings up only one result: your post.

If you go to:
https://www.ereplacementparts.com/cr...86_173893.html And search the Model number you provided it comes back as a B & S engine. You need to look for a Model number on the mower body itself Sent from my iPhone using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

After running around town and going to 4 places, I finally found the belt I need at Tri-County Power Equipment on Messer St in Laconia.

This has nothing to do with finding the right belt but...
The riding lawnmower mentioned above is the same model as the one my son owned. It started running poorly and then did not want to start. After verifying spark and fuel delivery the remaining stone to turn over was compression. Apparently these have valves that go out of adjustment causing a loss of compression. Following the instructions presented on a YouTube video, I was able to solve the problem in about an hour. I don't wish to jinx anyone here but yours may be next. |

WinnisquamZ's advice was good, bring a belt to an auto parts store and they can quickly and easily match it up and give you a replacement.

Riding mowers are much easier to get replacement parts for. The only reason I got rid of mine is the aforementioned clover. So it was a rather large capital cost for the value added. Going to the small push mower just made more sense. |
