Great Year / Sad Day
Well....it was another great season but every good season must come to an end and today was that day. You know it’s time to close up when you pull into your dock and see this...

Very cool picture. The pond hockey tournament and derby will be here before you know I️t and then the anticipation of the new boating season.

Making the final run tomorrow, bittersweet as we hit the slopes pretty hard in the winter. Although it wasn't our best season in terms of nights spent on the island we enjoyed the company of good friends and family while there. For me the first and last trips each season are a big part of that special island life some of us experience. Doing the final walk through making sure everything is buttoned up the way you want it, casting off the dock scanning around for the last time thinking how lucky we are to have our piece of the big lake and finally pulling the last boat out. For me it's not a sad day - it's a grateful day.
