Default Snowmobile through the ice in Alton Bay

About 5 PM, a snowmobile went through the ice near the Cascades. Two people, no injuries, but the snowmobile did sink.

On Rte 28 A (Eastside Dr) in Alton, there is a brook that passes under the road and is a series of small cascading waterfalls due to the steepness of the hill. The brook terminates in the bay next to a white boathouse, which is between a third of the way or even half way between Sandy Pt and Echo Pt, and again on the east side of the bay.
