What happened on Long Island today?

Shortly after noon today, quite a number of emergency vehicles, including two fire engines that I saw at the end, came onto Long Island, sirens sounding. Does anyone know what was going on?

We got a message that there was an electrical fire in a furnace motor. No problems though.
