Looking for a part for a 1996 GTX Sea Doo

The manifold on my 11 year old Sea Doo has a rather large crack in which I often need to pump out the engine compartment from flooding. We were told that getting this part repaired new would be about $500, which isn't worth it on a jet ski of this age.

Does anyone know of some place I could get a used manifold for a fair price (One that's not cracked would be great

)

What's the manifold made from? If it's a metal you may be able have it welded. Or I've sucessfully repaired metal engine covers and cases with JB Weld. It's a metal filled epoxy. My motorcycle still has a cracked engine cover filled with JB Weld, hasn't leaked after 15 years bathed in engine oil. If it's plastic epoxy may still be a good option.

Marine-Tex Gray is another product designed for just that repair. I'd say it's definately worth a try. It says right on the label its good for repairing manifolds and other similiar items. It can even be tapped for a bolt.
I'm sure both there is information on both products available online. JB weld is good stuff too.

Definately try one of the epoxys suggested here before you spend a lot of money.I've used them on a snowblower gearbox to fill where a shaft bearing had been and the shaft wore the housing severly.It held for 5 years and only cost a couple of dollars.

Wow guys thanks for your help.

We've tried that mixture that is supposed to be a inpenetrable seal (or something like that?) but the constant rattling just cracks it.

I'll look into all this stuff. I do want the cheapest option because its 11 years old...

Ya, I second looking into being able to use J.B. Weld, the stuff is awesome. Just got finished fixing an oil leak on a riderToro mower. I called the local repair shop and the guy on the phone (the owner of the establishment) actually recommended it to me. Once hardened it can be sanded and drilled into just like metal. A leak which woulda been hundreds to fix cost me $6.00 from Home Depot.
