Always a good idea to have a spare key.
Its insane to pay dealer prices; and endure all the related hassle.
I used Dooplicator.com; cost me $50 and it was fast & simple.

I use the same technology but my physical key is more robust. Currently with shipping from outside of the border and the current tariff, I'm less expensive!

The machines can't tell the different between these keys and an original OEM key!

Is it ok to take these RideKeys swimming or on a stand-up paddleboard knowing they will definitely get soaking wet?

Nice thing about Toyota's from 2014 and earlier is their basic ignition key, a nickel plated brass, double sided key blank made at the hardware store for a dollar or two; nothing electronic so it can get wet while swimming or boating. What we got today is too much technology!

And by themselves, with nothing else attached to them, they float!

How about a photo? What does it look like?

Have had no good use with the $7 waterproof car key holder sold at Bass Pro Shop-Hooksett, NH which leaked around the rubber seal so's I traded the Subaru for an old Tacoma with an old double cut, simple non-electric key. The old car keys were waterproof, flat and easy to store a spare in your wallet and the ignition key lock was on the side of the steering column, where it should be!

What we got today is too MUCH technology ....... !
