No show for August 2nd. We talked and apparently his wife was in the hospital. It would take a couple of weeks to get his schedule back on track. I called again a few weeks later, after Labor Day. "I'm just unpacking my suitcases, I don't have my schedule right at hand but I'll call you back within an hour." Never heard back so I just gave up on Steve's.
Angel's Share never left the dock this summer. Drifting around the Internet on other issues, I saw the Goffstown Rotary Club was running an event sponsored by "TMS Diesel". Having great respect for Rotarian's high business and ethics standards, I called "Thistle Mobile Service". TMS separates their operations into "Small" and "Large"; boats are large. I got scheduled in a timely manner and office staff quickly provided the insurance paperwork required by MVYC for outside vendors. The tech (Lee) quickly identified the problem as a failed crankshaft sensor. He also started both engines and went through both to determine any other issues, cleaned up corrosion on both ignition switches and checked out the genset. So far, so good. Ordered the sensor from a supplier in FL. Oops! Hurricane Helene closed Florida. Time for winter storage.
