The drying element could cause a fire. If you run it with the drying cycle off, you’re safer. But running water while you’re not at home is also a questionable practice. And I’m super paranoid about water lines to the fridge. Saw firsthand the damage a slow leak can do when two stacked residences are vacant for a few months. I remember the dishwashers with the reversable front panels. Back then it was black or white, only rich folks had stainless steel.
