Yikes, your poor boat. And poor you! Many years ago we had an early snowstorm and ours got covered with snow and we had to clear it off. After that we never waited long to take our boat out in the fall.

When we were building ca. 1960, fall snow on the ground was the perfect time to burn brush. No fireboat in those days but a lot of brush where PSNH had cleared their right of way. Once built, we used to keep a snow brush in the boat, same as for a car. Of course, it wasn't 20"+.

We are still frozen in at Gilford Yacht Club, 3 of ours plus our friends pontoon. I cleared off the top of his pontoon Sunday night as best as I could. I didn't bother with ours, 2 have hard tops. The back deck of the Eastern was full to the rails with snow. We will just wait it out.

With the mild weather mixed with rain for the next few days, it should hopefully clear most of this snow that fell last weekend.
Heading back out to camp this weekend hopefully to a snow free tiki bar and unfrozen water lines!! Salmon fishing opens Monday!! Dan

Well the snow was completely gone off the boat and dock so we went out to the island to check on things…No frozen water lines which was great news but I did lose a couple of fabric door awnings that the snow collapsed… I have no idea what I was thinking when I put those up back on March 8th!
![]() Fishing Monday so it’s all good! Dan
