Slip/valet for rest of season? Gilford/Laconia/Alton

I know this is a longshot, but looking for a slip for a 22' boat for the rest of the season. We are on Welch, but can't get a Glendale sticker since the boat will be titled in my name, not the family member who owns our camp.

I've called all of the usual suspects and no one has a slip or valet spot available. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

The town doesn't look at the title, if there is one (New Hampshire does not title boats); what matters is that the boat must be registered in the name of the island property owner.

Oh that is so helpful! So theoretically I can register it with my uncle (the property owner) as a co-owner and be good?

Maybe yes, maybe not a good idea.

While you may do that, you need to make sure he is on your boat insurance as well. By making him a part owner, he is jointly liable for anything that happens for liability regarding the boat and its operation.

Me personally, as the uncle, I would have to decline.

Gilford has passes for $50 that enable you to use the ramp. It must be purchased at town hall by the resident.

With that said, still looking for a slip (and rest assured to Dave's point, we insure everything to the hilt and add additional insured as needed).
