Unfortunately, there is a very small market for used furniture. I am not sure if people don't want to deal with used items, or they just can't be bothered hauling it home and moving it into their homes.
I recently had the same experience when selling a chest of drawers, and a microwave oven (both in excellent condition). I ended up just giving them away and felt lucky they were taken (very few responses). Craigslist does have a "FREE" category should you want to put it there. Additionally, the time of year may make a difference. If you offer these items in May or June then you may find more takers as people move into their seasonal cottages. Best of luck! |
