Marine Grease?
I need to grease both my trailer hubs, and the grease fittings on my Outdrive, can I use the same type grease for both ?

I like using Merc 2-4-C on boat stuff, but if I had to I would squirt in some good high temp wheel bearing grease. I use the premise that I would rather have the wrong oil, than no oil! Edit note- the 2-4-C can be used in your wheel bearings. |

Anything that goes under water needs marine grease. But if you're buying a tube of marine grease you might as well use it everywhere on a boat, even above the water line.

For the outdrive it is always best to refer to your manual. 2-4-C as mentioned is very good. I have a Volvo Penta with an exterior fitting that goes right into the gimbal bearing. Very nice feature.
