Posted about a year ago that we'd passed this place up because we heard someone complaining when I went in to check on the wait--responses at the time said we'd missed a good meal, so I planned on giving it a shot.
Tonight, we visited at 6 o'clock--my wife, myself, and two chillens, 4 and 6. The service and food we EXCEPTIONAL--maybe the best seafood chowder I've ever had, and the prime rib and scallops surf and turf was outta this world. As my students say, I "totes" recommend! I've driven by this many times on the road. Is it accessible by boat? I don't think I've ever heard of public docking in Paugus Bay but I imagine if they have boat access...they will attract more customers. We are always looking for good dining that is walking distance from a dock. The Canoe in Center Harbor even has a golf cart shuttle service I'm told in the summer.

When the motel was there, Tommy use to allow patrons to use the docks if space is available. I also knew Phil who use to own the boathouse. He allowed docking when space is available.
Now that the whole area gone condo, you may have to know an owner.

They do not have a dock for customers. I think Canoe has a shuttle van not golf cart.

My wife and I went this past summer. I think it had just reopened but we were very disappointed in the food and the service. I don't think I could talk my wife into giving it another try, it was that bad.
