35-Foot Steamer in Wolfeboro Bay

Capt. Pat found a new toy in his workshop. It's a coated measuring tape reel that is perfect for underwater measuring.

We took it over to the long, skinny wreck that I "hand measured" at 63 feet 2 years ago and the wreck turns out to be exactly 40 feet long.

When I first happened upon that wreck, I measured it end-to-end, using my body as a crude (and somewhat chubby) tape measure, and estimated it at about 36 ft. Not too far off!

A friend of mine accidently "found" the sleigh last summer. I hope to check it out this coming summer.
