Weirs vacant lot?

There's been more clearing on the lot next to Cumberlain Farms. The lot now has a spectacular view of the lake and beyond. Does anyone know what they plan to do?

Word on the street is parking for Laconia Fest this year... Bentley's type Saloon next year.

I seriously doubt he is doing all of that site work just to park cars....

thru the unreliable grapevine-heard may be lodging/conference building, could be quite nice.

Please be anything but more housing developments.

Would be an absolutely epic spot for a modern hotel or restaurant. Maybe even a little village of shops similar to Mill Falls.

A hotel would be the best option, also the option that probably has a 1% chance of ever happening. The Weirs desperately needs to replenish its hotel room stock that is within walking distance. There's only about 175 motel rooms left by my estimation, and those are pushing into the 60-80 year old range now. We need rooms that appeal to the traveler who wants more out of their hotel stay, like indoor pools, gym, breakfast, meeting space, etc.

In the end, it'll probably just be more bike week parking.

I'd love to see them build a hotel with a conference facility. In my past life I would attend 80 conferences/meetings each year. Make Weirs great again!

By a local source, that there will be a hotel/ conference center built there. Supposedly with a music venue and ballroom. Construction beginning in the fall of 2016.

This could be a very nice addition to an area needing one.

There is no plan, currently in place, with the Laconia Planning Department for the future use of this lot.

But................They will be able to monopolize the parking for Bike Week. With the recent site work they will be able to fit a lot of cars.

during bike week. Has there been any more news or progress on this place? The Weirs needs a good draw! A hotel/restaurant, music venue would be great!

The Weirs could use a nice hotel with a venue like Topelo Music Hall in Londonderry but on a larger scale. It would give year round life to the Weirs. http://www.tupelohalllondonderry.com.

A great wolf lodge would be perfect there and start the sustainability of year round business in the Weirs. A nice family oriented hotel with an indoor water park
