Ice-Out on Lake Winnipesaukee was declared today, March 23, 2012 at 9:30 am.

Either way it's pretty amazing to see how different it is year to year. Be safe out there peeps. That water is darn cold!!!!

since 2010 was declared at 2 pm and this year at 9:30 am it's still a record.

Hooray!! And it is another beautiful day too. Not as warm as the past few days-which is fine with me but still warm and sunny!

Wow, another new record for Ice Out, beating the 2010 on March 24 at 2:00 pm.

At a quick glance, it looks like March 23 at 9:01 am is the closest, with two or three guesses on March 23 at 9:00 am. Oh no, to miss it by one minute !?

This is always exciting time and fun. Maybe it would nice to have a "Ice In" contest too. That would be much harder to guess.

A great summer is here for all Lake Winni lovers.

Thanks, it's a low hour 91 that we love. In reality the boat was stored in a tempoary winter rack off site that was blocking access to other stored boats so in the water she went. Also Fay's rack building floor is still full of boats that will come out soon. I had my launch order in for 1 week after Ice Out anyway.
