Thanks to everyone who helped me along the way and gave me advice (including the posts on other threads with great information)!

The camera is mounted pointing almost due east, if you look closely you can see a fleck of orange which is the #4 light buoy straight out from my house. My camp is just out of range on the left side from the Bear Cam view.

Good detective work Bear Islander... it is a Netcam MP and and thanks to DSL on the island (who would have thought i could get it there), I have some remote configuration/control over it. The only down-side that I've seen so far is that the aperture setting is very finicky, and can't be controlled remotely... right now it is a shade too open, causing a lot of wash-out with the snow/sun reflection... i'll try to fuss with it this weekend.

After the next full moon, i'll set it to stop capturing images at dusk, but was curious how good the night image would be with a full moon reflecting off the snow

any/all comments and suggestions are appreciated!
