It was a definitive trade-off. Both sides agreed not to take this further. Saves a lot of money and heartache and doesn't add any more value to bad situation

In ALL honesty, In my personal opinion, This is a great subject to "leave alone," and just "Let it go", so we don't have another (argumentative) one like the trial. Anyone else agree?

The punishment doesn't fit the crime.
It is nearly inexcusable not to retry her. Having seen and heard the defense expert testify, Erica's trial strategy is clear: had the District attorney not chosen the path of political expediency, he could have rebutted it easily at retrial with an impressive expert or two, plus a bit of cogent, persuasive speaking during closing arguments. Justice denied.
