Default Lees Mills boat launch

Any one know what they are doing down there.Last week they had it blocked off an an excavator parked down there. Looked like they were dredging the launch or something. Any info? When are they going to be done?

Thumbs up New Ramp

They are installing a new ramp similar to the ones put in at Center Harbor and Long Island. It is a series of concrete slabs linked together.

Hopefully they are not ruining it like they did to the one just after the long island bridge. It a nice system and all, but the ramp now is not very useful late in the season....it needed to be dredged and set deeper.....

I'm no where near DES right now and can't pull the file but I think we permitted an extension of the ramp to address power-loading concerns. There should be a permit with project description posted on site or you can go to the permit query page from the DES Wetlands website and search for the permit and project description.

Default completion date?

Anyone have any idea when the ramp will be ready for use?

Thumbs up Looks close to being ready

I was down there this afternoon and it looks like all they need to do is remove the coffer dam. There may still be some grading of the parking lot left to do? I am wondring if there are going to put a small walking platform for boarding?

Great picture. Biggest differance is the coffer dam has been flooded and the ramp looks ready to use.

I know where I am putting my boat in this year!

We took a drive by the Lees Mills dock this weekend and the coffer dam is now flooded but still in place. The parking lot had been graded and was in great shape.

It looks like it is close to complete. However, it remains closed at the present time.
