Do you think Russ and Barb have seen it? Or was it painted after they left?
It's very yellow.

Just saw it this weekend.... Personally I think it looks like Junk.... I will admit that I don't believe its just the color though. I don't think the time to Prep the surface and replace the siding that needed to be replaced was done. In short I might be saying it looks like junk no matter what color it was painted.

On the flipside I think the color was done on purpose to draw attention. I think the mighty Jo Jos felt the pinch of the resession and saw to many cars drive by on thier way into town to shop at slightly more reasonably priced shops. I believe that although Jo Jo has great meat, that on other items they are pricing themselves out of bussiness. Sure I am going to go in there to by my steak and a Sub once in a while.... but quite honestly everything else has gotten way over priced. I no longer look at Jo Jo as a viable solution to pick up anything else.

Of course then there was my other reaction as I think Russ is cheap..... and he probably got a good deal on a couple of cases of paint that was order wrong......

Default It grabbed my attention!

When I went by last Monday one side of the building (by the loading dock) was painted. Russ, Barb, her sister and a few others were gathered around , looks like the color was given the thumbs up today the whole store is painted. It is a bright color, but I agree, I think it's too draw attention to the store.

Wink Umm...Where?

Nobody's mentioned which Town "Jo-Jo's" is in (and I've never heard of it), but the new paint job might just be the needed advertising to get that information out!

Its too yellow for me but if he's trying to get noticed, this thread is certainly proof that it worked.

Default saw for myself..

..and took a (lousy) picture with my BlackBerry. I was preparing myself for something a lot worse than the reality. Its not too bad - a yellow country store is not unusual at all, really. Just look at the yellow/orange Old Country Store in the center of town.

There's yellow and then there's YELLOW. Jo-jos is the latter. Also, the Old Country Store is interesting-looking in itself and the color is more mustard. Jo-Jos is really just a shed with windows and a lower key color would be less obtrusive. However, it is not a major tourist attraction and the color won't keep me from getting some good steak next spring.
