The "Brake for moose" signs never cease to amaze me.........think about it.... A moose runs out in front of your car......you say..."Oh man, there's a moose....should I hit it or put on the brakes"..Thank God that sign was there...I would never have thought to stop.

Not Moose and Squirrel - it's Moose and CAT
Very excellent question WAM 290 - and I think I have the answer.
The Cat is the logo for The Cat's Meow Village. They seem to be the supplier or manufacturer of that sign and many other items. The sign is $10. I can't figure out the S&H but know it's free if you order $50 or more. Can't seem to figure out the size or material either - have not yet had my morning coffee . I found their catalog on line but IMO it seems a little odd compared to other sites. Buy the Brake for Moose sign here. In New Hampshire they have several retailers, some of them around the Lake. If you are interested, I suggest you call and find out details from the factory or store. Here's their list of NH retailers. Sam, what do think about signs like: I mean, what is the alternative?

Kind of tickles me,Skipper.Brake for moose but only yield for people. When driving through Meredith on a busy day, there is a lot of foot traffic from the docks to the village and some seem to delight in strolling accross rt 25 as traffic backs up.But i still prefer that to a bunch of new traffic signals.
