Default Lake Winnisquam Ice

Hello, anyone know the ice thickness on the North side of Lake Winnisquam, out near Three Island, or just south of Three Island?

I am hoping to head out there to take my Grandson ice fishing in that area on Saturday...

Looking from my camera, it looks like open water in the center from Pot island south. Not sure north of Pot island

You should be OK near 3 Island, look for bob houses and use their tracks as a reference but check the thickness. Stay well north of Pot Island. I am a mile north of the sand bar on the western shore and its open water across to Belmont beach and as far north as I can see. I had 6 to 8" of ice in the cove along Lower Bay road last Saturday 40 yards from the open water, crazy.

I have not seen so much open water this time of year in 50 years! I am fishing Newfound this weekend . . .
