Default Yellow patches in lawn ?

Hello......

I'm starting to see yellow patches appearing in my lawn ?

The patches are small about 6", but all seem to be clustered in the same
8'x8' area. It's too early for lawn burn-out, but we have had several hot days
near 90 degrees. The area does get direct sub each day!

FYI, lawn is getting plenty of water daily.

Thoughts ?

Take a shovel and cut an area slightly larger than the yellowing.
Use the shovel to lift the edge...

If it isn't something attacking the roots... it is something adding way too much nitrogen at the surface.

Experiencing the same with my lawn. I just rake out the brown areas and toss some seed on it

some animal more than likely male is peeing in that area, I would say a dog or cat theirs is the worst

you can place cayenne pepper spice or something like it in the area to get them to move on, they will not like the smell, and won't harm them in the process,

I worked on a greens crew at a golf course a long time ago and you might have dollar spot. I don't remember the treatment but I am sure it can be looked up

I believe that's what has attacked the lawn.... 'Dollar Spot' !
I did some on-line research and the symptoms all point to this issue.
This is a lawn fungus, and treatment is to apply a fungicide.

Will followup at a later time with additional feedback.

Dollar spot is pretty common. Another potential is rocks pushing closer to the surface, heating from sun and drying those areas faster than surrounding.
