Where to go on New Years Eve in the lakes region? My house is in Meredith so I would like to stay close.

Church Landing has a VERY nice party that ends with fireworks over Meredith Bay. They somewhat cater to the hotel guests in ticket sales but also sell tickets to the public. Check it out.

Default memorable NYE

Dinner at The Local Eatery followed by an awesome blues band and celebration at the Pitman's Freight Room.

Pitman's is great. They also have a rather significant buffet so you really don't even need to go to dinner first.

Went there for the first time a couple weekends ago for comedy night. Great Boston comics, place was packed. BYOB and food. People were bringing coolers and picnic baskets in filled with food. One guy was carrying 4 boxes of pizzas in, very unique place. Lenny Clarke is coming there soon but I heard tickets are going quick.

If you're looking for something family-friendly, the Winnipesaukee Playhouse has two performances of our annual Traditional English Panto - 2pm and 7pm. This year's panto is Jack and the Beanstalk.

What's a panto? A tradition dating back to the Victorian times, a panto is a musical featuring a mix of showtunes and pop music, great dancing, silly (sometimes saucy) humor, slapstick, etc. Great for little kids but teens and adults also enjoy the double entendres and "in" jokes.
