Default One-way Ride to Logan from Wolfeboro

No, I am not leaving Wolfeboro for good. How could I EVER do that!

My situation is this...
In February I am taking a flight out of Logan to the U.S.V.I. by myself. My partner will be joining me a week later and leaving her car at Pre-Flight parking. We will ride back to Wolfeboro together after our trip.

I am wondering what my options would be for getting a ride down to Logan so my partner won't have to drive down, drop me off and then drive back.

Park your car at C&J lot in Dover (just off Route 16) and take their bus to logan They have lots of buses and parking there is free. On the way back have your partner drop you off at C&J's lot in Dover to retrieve your car and then both drive the short distance back too Wolfeboro.

If you can get to Concord there is a regular bus. Also in Tilton or maybe some western Maine towns are closer.

Default Here is an option in Alton...or...

http://biglaketaxiandlimo.com/services_3.html

I would second your partner driving you to C&J in Dover (exit 9 off the Spaulding, left turn at the lights, and about a quarter to half mile on the left.). Good range of times leaving Dover.

Here is their website http://www.ridecj.com/

Or as mentioned, Concord Coach.

We use Concord coach...no tolls, free parking. However C&J has more trips.

We have used Concord Coach out of Concord several times. Very convenient and comfortable. Right off 93 ( exit 14 I think ) If you are lucky the bus also makes a stop in Center Harbor 2 days of the week. Check their website.

Check out the "good neighbor thread", a few below your thread. Someone mentions they drive people to the airport. Maybe you don't have to leave your car anywhere if they pick you right up at your house

I'm missing the lake so much that I'm almost willing to drive up from NC for you just to have a reason to come back to the lake. Have a safe trip!

Parking is free in Concord also. I believe the bus to Logan is $35.00 round trip.

We take the C&J bus from Dover to Logan for almost every trip now. Less expensive than parking at or near Logan, and saves the hassle of the drive.

Default Meredith to Logan and return...

It appears the Concord Coach line stops at several towns on it's way to Logan, from N. Conway, south, including Meredith. Wolfeboro does not seem to be included. Seems to be two trips per day.

Default How much do you want to spend?

There are services that will pick you up at your house and drive you to Logan. The price I saw was about $200 from Wolfeboro. It was about $130 to Manchester airport where you could get whatever transport they have to Logan.

That way you can leave your car safe at home and the trip back from Logan will be much easier than having to pick up your car. Just Google ride from Wolfeboro to Logan and you will get 2-3 choices.

Where are you going USVI?

Your dilemma is just one of the many trials and tribulations for living in Wolfeboro as you have probably found out put by now.

Nice place to live as long as you don't want some of the things city life can offer you.

Default Thanks All.

Thanks for all the excellent replies.
I am tempted by the private pick up service in Wolfeboro, but I'll probably go for the less expensive option of taking the C&J Bus. ($24) I can spend the extra money I save on a private limo on a nice dinner out on St. John. USVI.

My favorite restaurant there is Asolare. Try to get a reservation on the balcony for 5:30 and watch the sun set over Cruz Bay!

I've taken the bus from Dover to Logan numerous times by myself and a few times with Steve. That's the way to go.

Cate - The C&J buses are quite comfortable and clean, and they have free wi-fi.
