Question ..... Chevrolet diesel engine?

Ok, for $15,236, Irwin Hyundai in Laconia has a 2018 Chevy Cruze w/ 26,342 miles with a 5-speed manual and a four cylinder diesel w/ front wheel drive.

This is same price I pay for my 2014 Toyota Scion xB w/ 5-speed manual which now has 205k miles and still drives great even though it got medium right side damage from a hit & run, last winter.

Am thinking about trading the old Scion in for the Chevy but am concerned about the diesel. It was previously owned by someone in North Conway, NH.

Anyone have any experience with these Chevy diesel engines? Out of their 169-different used cars for sale, only this one is a diesel?

Diesel fuel costs 45-cents more than gasoline and it smells like diesel ....... is not too easy to find 5-speed manual, front wheel drive, gasoline 4-cylinder engine car anymore?

That seems like quite an odd duck.

If you buy it, expect that it will not be an easy sell if you don't like it.

For the entertainment value, I suggest you buy it asap!

There is a small sub-set of folks that like diesels.
There is a very small sub-set of folks who want manual transmissions.

If this is a car that you like then by all means buy it.

By the way.
Kevin at Larsons Automotive in Moultonborough is an excellent diesel mechanic.

Stop in and ask Kevin what he thinks of this engine.

Default Diesel Rabbit

Remember those? I know a guy on Varney Point that still drives one daily. Even scoot down the FL every winter in it. Quite a sight to see!

Not sure how much mileage he got on it, but with all his money he enjoys driving that thing!

Interesting enough, these diesel vehicles use a urea injection (urine) as well as diesel fuel. Google it to read more.

I believe these cars have now been discontinued as USA buyers only seem to have their eyes on SUV type vehicles.

You might ask yourself how many drivers trade in their cars after only 2 years--especially Chevy Cruze 5 speed drivers, whom we would expect to be relatively frugal. Car is fundamentally flawed, be careful.

That car was built fundamentally flawed.
