Question Sunfish Sailboat: Carry More than It's Rated 2 Aboard?

Title seems long enough.

Factory rates the Sunfish capacity at 2--total.

With a few tries they got up to NINE adults along for a brief sailboat ride before their 14' Sunfish flopped over, again, into the lake.

Whatever Michigan lake it is, it looks like its maybe 65-degrees cool, or so?

Default Cow Island race

Wow! This could be a sidebar event at the third annual Cow Island Sunfish race at Winnipesaukee!

I saw about five Sunfish moored over there a few years ago, but didn't know of your races. Squam Lake has a huge number.

More importantly, it looked like a lot of fun! With better bailing devices, and putting one crewmember crosswise across the foredeck. (To lessen the waves filling the cockpit), they could have decent races.

I really enjoyed watching that. Tons of fun, and I thought the support vessel being another sailboat showed a good level of sailing skill as well.
