Speaking of gas prices....I was in Nashua this past Friday and noticed for the first time in a real long time that the gas prices were at or lower to the gas prices in the Lakes region. It used to be that the Tilton stations were almost always lower than Nashua, but then that changed a few years ago. I always figured that the prices were cheaper up here to get the tourists to come up. But now all of a sudden Lakes region prices are once again the same or higher than Nashua. Funny how prices move around. Then Wolfeboro who is almost higher than anyone else is now lower than Skelly's who has remained at $2.69 for regular, and an arm-and-a-leg for Super. They say we may see prices below $3.00 a gallon, but I wouldn't hold yer breath.... Hey we can all hope....

Gas prices are crazy!
Exit 23 gas station have historically been the price leaders in the area. Not any more. Using Gasbuddy, I notice it changes from 106 to 104 to Rte 3. Jeez! Even Plymouth gets on the bandwagon with low prices!

Yep, noticed the Circle K in Meredith was cheaper than the exit 23 stations as well. Gotta love the Circle K especially with the Loyalty card....
Oh and Newhampshiregasprices.com is saying the Citgo by the Weirs is now at $3.05.....!!!!!! |

Why are the gas prices lower? Supply and demand? Oil is still over a hundred a barrel isn't it?

Yes. The refineries all up and running properly, and the supply is good. Suddenly there will be a refinery fire or some terrorist group will threaten stability and we will be right back to normal.....
As has been the case in the past if we all conserve the prices stay lower. Go back to buying Hummers and we will all pay the price. This country needs to start moving toward eco-diesel cars and trucks to save even more. The new Ram 1500 pickup is now going to be available with a small diesel. I can't wait to see how it performs. |
