Dock Builders...
I need your opinions and recommendations on which dock builder to hire to build my 40' U-shaped dock. The dock will be seasonal and I'd like to have it hinged and articulating with a winch. Thanks

Watermark Marine Construction
Call Watermark, 293-4000. They are the best on the lake.

Dock builders
I agree, Watermark Marine is very good. Before you make your final, final decision, you might consider riding around the Lake and looking at docks you see similar to what you have in mind, then just ask these hmeowners the same question. I have found the waterfront people are more than happy to share their successes with strangers. My guess is that in Hermit Cove you have a very low 'weather' factor to worry about. Good luck, the season is coming.

my .02
If a crank-up is what you want definitely talk to Walker at Watermark. If you decide to go permanent and already have a permit try Island Support for piling docks and Diversified Marine Construction for crib docks.

Also try Ferrante (Now Benjamin Franklin)
They are in Moultonboro, at Route 25 and Lakeshore drive, across from the building supply store. Ferrante changed its name to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Good design, fair price, and good construction. Ask for John.
