We usually go to the Lakehouse in Meredith.

I second the Lakehouse. We had our Thanksgiving dinner there last year and it was great. They do take reservations and they fill up early. Like a few months early I was told but you may find they still have space available.

Never been to the Lakehouse so I can't comment... but I certainly would recommend "The Lyons Den" in Gilford or "O's" in Laconia. Can't go wrong at either!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Default Giving Thanks in Wolfeboro

We've been volunteering at the All Saints Church(big white church by Huggins Hospital) the last few years on Thanksgiving and it is truly wonderful what they do for the less fortunate or seniors who need companionship and a fabulous meal. It is open to anyone and everyone. This year Brewster will cook them 37 turkeys and in the church kitchen they will be cooking over 100 lbs of potatoes, sweet potatoes onions ect... all donated from local people and businesses. Not to mention the pie and desserts that will fill 6 to 8 tables end to end, and the boy scout will be serving the first half of the meal. The only thing I love better than Wolfeboro, is Wolfeboro during the holidays.

I'll be trying the Wolfeboro Inn for the first time, and with the recent reviews I expect to be very happy. Reservations strongly suggested (and and two days ago I already couldn't get my time of choice).

When I was dining at the Woodshed last week I noticed a sign that stated they will be open for Thanksgiving this year. I'm not sure if they have opened for Thanksgiving in the past, but they are one of my favorite dining establishments.

Thanks for the info, but I read the post to late as I had taken the bride to McDonald's already. Just kidding, we had the family come for the holiday and a real long weekend. I hope you had a great one also.
