Default Who's the oldest person?

The oldest person in the U.S. lives in New Hampshire.

A great article in the Union Leader today about the Oldest person in the United States -- and 2nd oldest in the world. Mary Josephine Ray lives in Westmoreland, New Hampshire.

So I thought it might be fun to know who the oldest living relative is of Forum members? There are more than 4,000 Forum members. Can anyone beat 81 years of age?

Yup. My mom is older by a few. But I'm sure we'll be easily into the 90's before this thread is over.

My parents are 93 & 95. They got married in 1940.

A great big HOO-YAH to the U.S. Navy retired - medical & dental insurance plan!

HOO-YAH!

My grandmother is 96 1/2 years young. Swims at the Y 3 times a week. Takes one asprin every morning with her breakfast to keep the creaking to a minimum. She doesn't see and hear that well anymore by her mind is sharp as a tack!

Les:
Some federal taxes we pay are "our pleasure".

Paying for a retired Navy person and his wife is a good example.

As I understand, due to either the political clout or bargaining power or law making of the federal government: Medical providers like drugstores, hospitals, and private physicians & dentists get reimbursed about 15% of the cash price when receiving a payment from Tri-Care, the federal insurance provider which compliments Medi-Care for U.S. military retirees. Just 15 cents on the dollar, and the bill gets stamped 'paid in full.'

Such a deal!

So, this must drive up insurance prices for all others in order to balance out the total of all U.S. insurance plans.

So, who pays with higher insurance rates?

Default Years young

My mother is 92, and the mother of our next door neighbor at the lake is 100 years young. My mother and she are good friends! My mother is as sharp as a tack and still lives alone and independently in her own condo in Arizona.

Dad and mom are 82 & 81 but sometimes I feel like I'm in my 90's.
