Default Pond Hockey

We received a perfect amount of snow at one of the best times of year- Pond Hockey weekend! We will be out grooming with a focus on corridor 15 from Moultonborough to Meredith over the weekend. Enjoy the trails- they will be great this weekend (hopefully people will get out ahead of us and pack the fluff down a bit)

There is a nice article with a little history of the event in the Laconia Sun.

Default Ice travel

Although ice condition change rapidly, is there any info on ice conditions from Gilford beach to Meredith via the lake on a snowmobile? Looking to ride into the Pond Hockey event!

Like wow ...... Meredith was totally teeming with hockey teams!

Getting through the big Meredith intersection is usually easy, even on the most busy summer weekends when you is driving south on Route-25 and take a left, heading towards Pleasant Street. Pond Hockey Saturday at noon was definitely the exception what with all the Pond Hockey traffic and pedestrians, have never seen traffic so snarled up, or so many crowds out on the ice .... is time to move it up to Errol NH .... away up north!

What Pond Hockey needs to do is to move itself out of Meredith, and set up on Lake Umbagog, away up north ..... that's what it needs to do ...... move to Lake Umbagog! ............ ............. besides .......... Umbagog is so much easier to spell than Winnipesaukee!

And, all those flashing big red and yellow lights at the new crosswalk, across from the town docks, don't help nuth'n .....they just slow it all down to a trickle traffic flow ..... traffic was faster when pedestrians had to quik run across, or get hit ..... that all was a better situation there! .....

So, how much business, and how much money does the town and everyone involved really need ...... whatever happened to no hope, no work, no business, no customers, and no money ...... people had got used to that ...... here in the month of February!

I'll drink to that ......... amen! .....

Was at Lago's in Meredith Bay this past weekend and the bartender told me that the pond hockey weekend is now a busier weekend in Meredith than 4th of July.

That is no surprise especially from the bar side!

It is a great weekend for the region, kudos to the Crowders! Biketember Fest did real well too. Both events capitalized on our "offseason"
