Default Gilford trailer parking

With the town shutting down the trailer parking lot on Varney Point Rd (ice rink), I'm having trouble finding a reasonable place to park my 4 boat trailers during the summer season.

Does anyone have any suggestions for something close to Gilford that would be cheap? My alternative is to haul them 1.5 hours away which is less than ideal.

Thanks!

Not sure what you consider reasonable but you might check the many storage places that have popped up all over the place. Parking for four won't be cheap. There's a place across from the Meredith DPW that charges $300 for the season per trailer. Maybe you could negotiate a four-fer. I was able to find a place on private property through an acquaintance.

Have you tried with the new owners of Dave’s? They have a ton of land over there and Dave did use to rent out summer trailer spots.

You could also try Lake Shore upholstery right near the Glendale docks. He has a plot of land next to his shop that rents out summer spaces….

Good luck!

Dan

I have a storage facility in Dover, about 45 minutes south that has outdoor parking but if your option 90 minutes away is free that may make more sense than paying a monthly charge per trailer.

Pain in the butt to haul them back and forth though! I wasn't aware they were closing that lot. I have never used it. Luckily Gilford Yacht Club has trailer parking for owners and renters, 1 per slip so mine stay there.

Max of one trailer at Mountain View. $150 for the season, so I'll have one there.

Thanks, Dan. Beacon Marine (new name at Dave's) is $150 for a single axle and $200 for a double for the whole season, so I'm gonna do that.
