Default Twin Farms Barnard, VT

"The first nine rooms of Twin Farms opened in 1993, and grew over the years to include additional cottages, as well as the Farmhouse at Copper Hill and the Bridge House spa. Each expansion was greeted with accolades and acclaim, including the Forbes Five-Star rating. Though the ownership now includes several partners, guests continue to embrace Twin Farms — and Twigg-Smith’s vision of a sophisticated escape steeped in playful romance — as their own second home."

About three hours from Boston.

We like Stonehurst Manor very much. They'll have the onsite restaurant, fireplace (and hot tub), but not really the view.

Default Jackson NH area

We have spent time at a few of the hotels and inns in the Jackson area. We've stayed st the Eagle House, an old hotel that brings you back to hotels 100 years ago. Started there 2 or 3 different times. Wentworth Inn right down in the village is also very nice. Also other nice ones right in the area.

Easy access to No Conway or the Mount Washington valley.

You can try here.

Time it right for the Fishing Derby (around 3rd week in Feb, NH School Break) weekend on the Ice.
Definitely a view, probably with a sunset.
Definitely Restaurant and Bar.
Definitely in distance range.
Not sure if rooms have fireplaces.

Default Week End

For a very special experience try The Pickering House in Wolfeboro. It is a B & B right on Main Street.

Church Landing.

The room below has everything you are looking for. Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance too.

Default Romantic Getaway

It is a little further than 3 hours but so worth it! The Mountain View Grand.
https://www.mountainviewgrand.com/
We spend our Valentine's weekends here and enjoy dinner in the wine cellar!
We enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the premises. Love visiting the farm and seeing the farm animals. Try ax throwing!

I agree, but.... This past year they had severe help problems. My wife was to stay there at a golf outing last summer. The grill at the golf clubhouse was closed (midweek, in season) and they did not serve lunch. Fortunately, the ladies asked questions and found out the staffing issue was causing many, many problems and stayed down in Twin Mountain at a motel.

Ordinarily, I would recommend Mountain View Grand over the Mount Washington Hotel, but only if assured staffing was not an issue this year.

I like the Whites.
Two of my favorites are
Thorn Hill Inn:
https://www.innatthornhill.com/
Very nice with a good restaurant, fire places in rooms, and more

And The Notchland Inn: https://notchland.com/
Again, very nice, and isolated. Restaurant, though not all days. Old world.
Great hosts.

Check them out

Default One of my favorites

The Bernerhof Inn in Glen is a treat. The oldest continuing operating Inn in NE. Started as a stagecoach stop in the 1800s.
