Alton Public Launch
Does anyone know what happened that caused the delay in completing the work at Alton's public launch? Any idea if it will be completed before next boating season? I used to use it and have had to go elsewhere the last few years, was wondering.

It’s paved and it looks like they’ve made a ton of progress in the last month. The last orientation was tight, especially if people parked on the hill. Now, it’s all flat with a retaining wall and it’s as wide as possible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'll have to take a ride by and look, that sounds like a lot more progress than last time I was by.

I saw a post on facebook regarding the progress at the public launch and an interview with the contractor. Progress was slowed down due to material shortage issues. The launch is not done and will not be open for April 1, 2022 (the start of salmon fishing season for the non-fisherman out there). It sounded like they were shooting for a grand opening more like the beginning of May.

i am surprised to hear this, it looks almost complete. Coleman is a great contractor, they are doing a large self storage project for me down in Dover and have been good to work with. Our foreman is awesome.
