With the Derby this weekend …… Saunders Bay was busier than usual even though the wind on Saturday was OUTRAGEOUS!

On Saturday, the Mt Washington Observatory reported a wind gust of 148-mph atop the mountain, from the Concord Monitor, which really made the fishing difficult up there .... especially for fly fishing. From Mt Washington to Lake Winnipesaukee, it's maybe a distance of 33.29 air miles, as the crow flies, just a guess(?), and Mt Washington can be seen from the lake in Gilford.
