Default Holy smoke, we can make it!!!

RG:

The stars must be in alignment. Deb and I are both off for the 6th. I will have the work boat duty but should be there.
Deb can bring a pet bed or something, I can bring several (if needed) tables and a grill with dogs and burgers.

Let me know about tables. 455 7178.

We will be showing up by boat.

Misty Blue.

Talking Wahoo Misty Blue!

I'm so glad you two can come! Thanks for the offer... I think some tables would be great for the raffle items and the pet bed is GREAT! Mac loves his and now Bailey needs one.
Can you bring two, so I can buy one? Deb might remember better the size that I would need. Bailey is almost 20" long from nose to butt.

We've been given the go for having a gas grill at the fest. Meredith Lady was planning on bringing the one she has access to from Kevin's Cafe, so we'll have to check with her on whether we will need yours too. The burgers that you made at the Lake Shore Park Pavilion were great!!! Can't wait.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the fest!

RG

Thumbs up $50 Item or Donation

Thanks for your wonderful generosity SS! It's up to you whether you want to donate it the charity or as a prize, like you did a couple years ago.

If you choose the charity, I'd be happy to put some tickets into the cups for you!
(I'll PM you with my address.)

Thanks GNC! Your donation is much appreciated. I wouldn't mind winning your raffle item! Thanks for coming forward and supporting our cause. Without businesses like you, we couldn't do this!

Default Blood is thicker than water . . .

There will be NO quilt for Forum Fest this year.

For over a year I have been working exclusively on an heirloom quality Wedding Quilt for my niece. For those who do not know quilts, it is called a "wholecloth quilt". You take two large pieces of fabric (90" X 90") and baste the quilt sandwich together. The entire pattern for the quilt is hand stitched into the fabric. It took a couple of months to design the top and many, many hours of hand work to create. It is quite beautiful!

There has been no time to make a quilt for Forum Fest.

Quilt Lady,
Your fabulous quilts are always a big hit at the Fest. I am looking at one right now in it's place of honer at RG's chair where it gets used every day. I am confident we understand and appreciate all the ones you have supplied over the years. Hope you share a picture of your latest masterpiece with us when it's done. Your niece is very lucky to have an Aunt as talented as you.

Default Well, not so fast...

there will bea Quilt Lady quilt in the raffle this year.

Several years ago Mrs. Steve A and I won a beautiful "Kittie" quilt made by Quilt Lady at a NH Humane Society fund raising event. We are thrilled to have won it, but with 8 cats in our house we never could find a place to display it where it wouldn't get covered with cat hair! Go Figure...

After much discussion, and after a typed conversation with Quilt Lady, we have decided to donate it to this years Forum Fest. The boss, (AKA, She Who Must Be Obeyed) and I really love the idea of this beautiful quilt preforming the wonderful magic of helping two charities.

So, Dianne and I will not be able to make FF2011, but we are bringing the "Kittie Quilt" back to Quilt Lady and she will be bringing it to Forum Fest.

I would like to donate a children's rocker for raffle. It's a nice oak wagon wheel back two tone (black/candlelite) rocker. The only problem is I can't make it up that weekend but I am up Monday and Tues. the 25th & 26th. I really don't want to be a burden to anyone but is there a place or someone I could leave it with ?

Thank You,
Pontoon Goon

Whoever wins that seat should think of you everytime they use it. Something to aim for.

Sorry to have missed your post until now. (No internet for me at the lake. )

Will you be back to the lake again before the fest?

We could print out a picture of the chair with a description and put it on the raffle table with a ticket cup. After the fest, you can make arrangements for getting it to the winner. What do you think?

Default More and more stepping up to the plate!

Let me start by saying i am thrilled with the raffle prizes we have received thus far. The Meredith Emergency Food Pantry needs our support...and please keep in mind they do not turn anyone away in the entire Lakes Region...they are only housed in Meredith.
Thank you to Funspot Kevin's Cafe, and the Common Man Family Restaurants for your gift certificates..
Returned to me via the post office for the wrong address (they are kidding, right?)...The Crazy Gringo, The Village Kitchen, and The Woodshed. i will drop off the Crazy Gringo one tomorrow, and will also contact our friend Samiam at the Village kitchen. Anyone have extra time? Maybe someone could contact the Woodshed, Subway, The Wine'ing Butcher, Hannafords, Dunkin Donuts, you get my drift...
Guiseppe's sent a gift certificate...thank you!
One of our fearless leaders of the Fest..Sue.."Water Camper" is on vacation this week and working on the donation board. She and her husband went to Pop's today for lunch. They reported that the food was outstanding..and Pop was there. They spoke to him and mentioned our Fest and he wrote a very generous gift certificate on the spot for our raffle. Thank you, Pop's!
Pontoon Guy-sorry for the delay in responding. Totally agree with RG...we can put a picture of the chair as a raffle item-and make arrangements for delivery after the fact. Our forum members are all over the state..so delivery should not be a concern. By the way...that chair is awesome.
So thank you all so much for your efforts..the Fest is going to be fabulous!

Thanks for all your hard work Meredith lady.....looks like it will be a big success..........oh yuh.....we've only been in business since 1972 and the postmaster is too lazy to pop a letter in our box because it doesn't have the Box #
Not so in Meredith and Cenetr Harbor....they go out of their way to be helpful if an address is incorrect.

Default My Daughter's Book, "I Knew You'd Be Lovely"

I am donating five copies of my daughter's book, "I Knew You'd Be Lovely". The book is getting wonderful reviews so rejoice with me! It is Alethea's first book and is a collection of short stories. Alethea Black is also on Barnes and Noble's fall list of "Discover Great New Writers". "I Knew You'd Be Lovely" was the book of the week on Oprah.com in July.

Hope the raffle is a HUGE success and many hungry people benefit from the food pantry.
