Default 2023 Winter Storage

Goodhue in Meredith is advertising $58/foot (23 feet and under) for winter boat storage this year. Price has increased every year since the sale of Shep Browns. Any other boaters without a trailer finding more competitive prices on Winni?

Default North Water - Old Thurston's

I see North Water has 3 options

17-23'
Heated $1,450 Flat fee
Covered $1,050 Flat fee
Shrink wrap $30 per foot

24 -27'
Heated $63 per foot
Covered $46 per foot
Shrink wrap $30 per foot

I suppose you also need to look at the other fees - winterize <> launch <> any mandatory service in order to get the full picture of the situation

Check with Miles Marine in Gilford. Often they are a little less than the boat dealers and they do good work at a fair price. The will pick up your boat in the Fall, winterize and store it, and deliver it in the Spring.

I was a bit shocked when I got my new rates yesterday.

I guess the "new anticipated" expansion project needs to be paid for somehow.

Default Bought a Trailer

I finally bought a trailer. Should have done it when I bought the boat, and it would have been paid off twice. Got a local shop that does the winterizing, and wrap it up for the winter.

I do wrapping/winterization/oil changes

Wrap is $15 a foot of material used.

We cover the whole lakes region and north to Pittsburg.

Just a note that Melvin Village Marina is charging $67/foot for indoor storage/winterization/de-winterization.

Part of my buying a boat was not having to do anything but enjoy it, so until Melvin Village fails on that end—they've consistently gotten our vessel back on the water quickly when necessary—I'll continue to store with them.

If its of any help to compare, Paugas Bay is now charging $5000.00 per year for year round rack storage and that includes heated winter storage and winterizing/de-winterizing (plus the cost of chemicals). That includes unlimited in and outs and car parking and access to day docks and bathrooms.

Just throwing that out as a reference.

Oh and that started out at like $3000 per year just a few years ago, so clearly everyone is suffering the increased costs of everything these days.

I agree, they are top notch IMO. Yes a little expensive but the service warrants it.

Just received my bill. $1960 for a 23’ winter covered storage with engine service. Used boat trailers maybe in my future

Problem with this one is they then tack on mandatory service packages on top of it
