Default T-Bones

It was a Bonanza Steak House (buffet) upstairs, and Jeremiah's (a bar) downstairs, at least back in the '80's / '90's. I'm not sure if it was something else before that, or prior to becoming T-Bones and Cactus Jack's.

Jeremiah's often had live entertainment, and drew a slightly older crowd.

Friendly's was next to it.

I do miss Bonanza. Found one in Carlisle PA when I was down for a car show a few years ago before Covid, about a month after I was there, it burned down. But I was glad I got one more Bonanza burger. They weren't all that great, but more childhood memories going there and loading up on the "food bar" before the burger came out.

Wasn’t it a restaurant with a nautical theme?

You might be thinking of what is now Lakes Region Veterinary Hospital. Which was a Wendy's. Which was the Ancient Mariner. Which was The Captain's Table.
Maybe. The 1900's are a blur.

The Captain’s Table! That’s what I’m thinking of. Thanks!

I think nature gave humans the ability to recall where they have found food.

This is a survival tool.

Rather than remembering where we found game we now use this skill to reminisce about the restaurants that have come and gone.

I miss Bonanza, Mr Steak, Ponderosa and their like.

They were a rare luxury for young wifey and me as we scraped our way forward.

The Windmill was known for its pop-overs. It’s rare to find them.

Default Windmill

Wasn’t the Windmill at the end of White Oaks Rd? Where Weirs Boulevard meets White Oaks. I think it’s a property management company now?
