Default Ultralight?

I heard it was some kind of ultralight….can’t confirm that however.

Hope no one is injured.

That’s no ultralight!

That looks really bad! Hoping for the best for pilot and anyone else on board….

Thanks for the pics Steve!

It appears in the pictures to be some sort of seaplane... Apparently, the pilot suffered head and facial injuries. Hope they heal up quick.

WMUR is reporting that the pilot is expected to be OK.

"When we got here we were directed to the back side of the building and there was a seaplane on its roof,” said Gilford Fire and Rescue Chief Steve Carrier. “It had struck the building on its way down and the roof is compromised where it was struck. The occupant was still in the plane strapped into his seatbelt. He had some injuries that don't appear to be life-threatening at this time

Today's LDS article.

https://www.laconiadailysun.com/news...f7368a8a3.html

We had arrived at about 4:15 to eat at Patrick's. Just prior to taking this photo the pilot was loaded into the ambulance. I did not think that he could have survived. Glad to hear otherwise.

The setting sun may have impeded the pilot's vision causing the crash.

Question Seaplane? Ultralight?

Best described as a "Cessna 175 on amphibious floats", or just a "floatplane".

Yeah, if that's the case, he should have gotten out of dodge, gone and flown around a little more, then tried again. I was a little surprised there was no fuel spill after a crash like that, but maybe the tanks held up. Just glad he is ok.

I hope the pilot recovers 100%.

Losing his plane, THAT plane, is a very painful loss.

They don't make them like that anymore.
