Default Moultonboro Snowmoblie Club Off to a Fast Start

During the summer we were able to upgrade two bridges on the Mason Trail accompanied with a major re-route around the Schmidt property giving use a much better trail through that area. We also replaced of “Buds” bridge (another fifty two footer) on Corridor 15 over Shannon Brook. We also placed several culverts in this area to help with drainage. The area between the two big bridges has be notorious for flooding. There is some more work being done on Ayres tail between Shannon Brook and 109.
We thank everyone that helped make our summer construction projects a success.

Our major thrust this year has been on the “109” side of Moultonboro. We also have a major straightening out of part for Corridor 15 going down Moultonboro Neck Road from Davis’s Field down to the Veggie shed. This will allow us to get the “Tucker” through that area a lot easier.

We started two weeks ago with regular Saturday work parties, 8:30 am at the Club Garage.

The following is from our September Newsletter;

Things are slowly stating to come together as the season gets underway. We have several major events coming up at the start of October. The first event will be the Sandwich Fair. This runs from October 5th to October 8th. We are in need of volunteers to help man the Club booth during these days. The more people we can get the shorter the time periods we need to have coverage. If you are interested in helping at the Fair please contact John Anderson @ 603-476-5351.

We have another major event that same weekend. It will be our kickoff Dinner Meeting to start the 2007-2008 Snowmobile Season. The Meeting is being held at the Lions Club on old Route 109. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm with appetizers. Dinner will be served at 7:00 pm. It is going to be a “Catered” meal, consisting of a main course of Chicken Cordon Bleu, Potato and Vegetable followed by Desert. Coffee Tea and water will also be served. The cost for the dinner is $12.00 per person for adult members and $6.00 each for children. We need to a firm commitment as to the number of members who will be attending no later the Tuesday October 2nd. If you come to the meeting with out making a reservation you may not get to eat.
You need to RSVP to Cheryl Higgins @ 603-253-4372 or by E-Mail to winnfabric@adelphia.net .
There will be a business meeting at the end of the dinner.

A tentative Dinner Meeting schedule is being planned.

The November meeting is scheduled for the Saturday the 3rd at the Balmoral Club house. Plans are for a Pizza and Salads. Cheryl will be looking for some help on this. Please RSVP by November 1st at the latest.

The December Christmas Party is tentatively scheduled for December 1st at the Balmoral Club house. We are planning Christmas Dinner catered by HARTS. It will be the same buffet menu that would be served at their restaurant. Fresh carved Turkey, Roast Beef and all the fixings. Please RSVP by November 29th at the latest. The cost for the dinner will be $13.00 per person for adult members and $ 7.00 per person for children.
