NH Broadband - Submit Your Request
The NHEC (New Hampshire Electric Coop) is looking for people interested in its new broadband service. The web site let's you know the status of service in your area and includes a survey. I'm in area 4, other areas, but hopefully they will come my way with a 1 gigabit fiber soon. My biggest concern is switching my email off of Spectrum.
The form is at https://www.nhbroadband.com/

Other email providers
There is no requirement that one uses the email service provided by the internet provider. Although convenient and already included, there are many other options that free you from an email address tied to the ISP.
Way back when I was a beta tester for Comcast when they started into the Internet business, initially with @Home.com. I then had an offer from American Express for a free email address with @Netaddress. I've been through a bunch of ISPs since then but my email address has not changed! (Netaddress hasn't been free for ages, but is worth the cost to me to not have the hassle of changing Emails). I suggest you get a new Email from a non ISP source, such a free ones from Gmail. AOL. Outlook. Zoho. Mail.com. Yahoo! Mail. ProtonMail. iCloud Mail. or many others Some have enhanced services via a paid account. Get a new account now, gradually switch over all the users that know your Spectrum account (while you can still use the Spectrum account to enable the changeover), and then when you cut the cord with Spectrum there is no hassle. |
