Talking Giant Slide in Alton

Just saw the giant blue slide on the east side of Alton Bay last week, it was unbelievable!

Anyone know anything about it, was it custom made or some off the shelf kit/package?

Any video of people actually using it??? I would love to see someone going down it.

It looks frightening and exciting at the same time.

There's a TIK TOK video of Luke Bryan and his wife taking the plunge...could probably find that on Facebook as well.

Too funny its a fans house and he went to visit them and test ride the slide, pretty cool actually!

Many thanks for sharing its a great video!

I would love to hear more about the slide, having seen it, it really makes you smile looking at it, kudos to the home owner.

Pretty cool story, must be a more down to earth guy than most celebrities of his stature. Something you rarely see these days!

Glad the owners were also reasonable about it all, some would try to get their 30 seconds of fame and make a buck off it all.

Just a positive story all around! Nice for a change ;-)

Well if the admission is not too much, I might be interested to try out the duck latrine!

Fortunately we have our own green water mat ;-)

We saw it yesterday in the way back from lunch at Pops. My 21 year old daughter wanted so bad to give it a try.

Never a charge for admission, we just ask that you bring a scrub brush!

Steve does charge admission, just for exiting. Very reasonable though.

I was in Alton Bay for hours last weekend. I even went under the Bridge and beyond Parker Marina all the way to the little footbridge under which no man shall ever pass in a boat. I didn’t even notice the big blue slide! Where is it relation to, say, the bandstand or Downing’s Landing?

There's a little boat house to the left of the bottom of the slide...and it is directly across from Sandy Point . You're welcome!

Looks like a lot of fun, but that vibrant blue color really sticks out; maybe an olive drab / tan (or similar) color would blend in better and not catch the eye as much?

Still ... bravo.

I actually like it, it made me smile!

I'm sure you are right in that I can see how some neighbors may think its a bit much, but I like Winnipesaukee to look like a place of fun, not some shut off nature preserve, or stuffy Beverly Hills posh place. My whole life Winnipesaukee was the place we have gone to boat, water ski, eat out at the diner, play pin ball, see drive-in movies. And we love it as it has been over the last 50+ years.

That said, it wouldnt take too much more to become too much. I'm thinking lots of bright or colored lights running all night every night.

I suppose balance in such matters is always a tricky thing to achieve. But so far I dont find it to be too much.

It appears to be a blowup slide. Do we have any idea of it’s length and width?

Could it be a bunch of Slip and Dips?

These units do have blower, just like the holiday inflatables.

Sure looks like it!

Great detective work!!!

You get a giant gold star for finding that. Personally never heard of it before but it looks like a wild ride. Last trip buy the kids were doing it and having a ball. They looks young and had no problems with it.

I had fun watching them!

Great Find!!!! I have been looking for this online for a few years now, ever since seeing it when we passed by theirs from the lake. Could never find anything close to it!
