Question Neighbor Looking for Electric Outboard...

My choice would be Torqeedo, but they don't list local dealers.

Surely, some dealer can order one.

I have a Torqueedo--it is excellent and has been zero maintenance and trouble free for 6 years. I especially love not having to deal with gas. I bought mine from Flying Scot, they do not list it separately in their shop, but I believe it is still available from them. Your friend should phone them to discuss. They are super friendly and helpful https://flyingscot.com/

Torqueedo products seem to be easy to buy online or from West Marine.

Default Electric motor

I purchased an E-Propulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus for my Cape Dory Typhoon. It has one of the largest capacity batteries at 1276WH. It can run up to 10 hours at low speed. The battery has a unique design. It sits on top of the electric housing and with a lift of a handle it pops off for onshore charging. It also can be charged while on the boat or a solar panel. It's performance is very impressive. It can push my full keel Cape Dory that weighs 2000lbs to max hull speed with virtually no sound. The dealer is very responsive and helpful. Check it out.....
