Default Ford Bronco Offroadeo at Gunstock

I've not seen any posts about it here, but Ford runs the Bronco Offroadeo at Gunstock during the summer. It's a one-day event to teach new/prospective owners about the Bronco's history, culture, abilities, technology, etc.

I bought a '24 Bronco a few weeks back, and it's offered free to new owners—I'll be attending tomorrow's session with my son.

Has anyone done this?!

That looks like a lot of fun!

Keep the shiny side up... Broncos aren't cheap!

Default Gunstock road course

It's probably a lot of fun for flatlanders. The course was very tame. I did it after hours on my allroad. For a real adventure, there is a 4X4 park in Ossipee.

Though cool to see these off road at all. So many truck sales are cosplay for rugged trips to the mall

There is a pretty vibrant 4 X 4 "culture" out west: lots of folks love to go "wheelin.;"

Other than having great hills and mountains near by, the reason it is "doable" is because we don't salt the roads, allowing for older trucks to not only survive but flourish.

Oh sure, some guys run newer rigs but most use older, more affordable to buy and repair vehicles.

Tame? We were on 3 wheels a few times with 20°+ side tilt and 30° front and rear. You may have done some of the main trails in your Audi, but you absolutely didn't do all of what we did today.

I should have some videos another participant took that I can upload later, but here's a photo from the morning "practice."

PS I had an allroad for a few years myself and am very familiar with it.

I was joking with others today that the most "flexing" most of us will be doing in our Broncos is over curbs, but it was really neat to see what they are capable of.

I've not been able to get my videos uploaded to YouTube, but there's a bunch already there that are much better filmed than what I have (from another participant inside a vehicle).

Here's one that was part of the morning practice section–there are a lot of different trails that the instructors choose from throughout the day given the conditions. NH has more variation given rain, mud, roots, exposed rock, etc. vs. the courses out west that tend to be more flat/dry rock scrambles, etc.

One thing I liked about the event is that it was Bronco specific and taught the nuances of it vs. off-roading with a Wrangler (solid front axle), 4Runner (angles), etc. It was a great day!

Places like Moab are dry but not flat.

Here in the Pac NW it is typically neither flat nor dry: similar to NH in fact.
