Default Lakes Region Power Outages

Anyone out of power around the lake??…..here in Gilford we just lost it for about 5 minutes and my generator kicked on, then the power came back up…

NHEC is reporting ~1900 out on Moultonborough Neck. Supposed to be restored by 8:45 tonight. Pole is down.

It’s been interesting in Meredith. With the winds predominantly out of the northeast today, being downwind of a significant portion of lake that’s not fully frozen I’m wondering if the lake temperature played a role in keeping the snow totals down here. Temps have been above freezing all day.

I agree with you because my island camp cameras on Welch show no snow at all accumulating, I can still see my grass! Not so at my home in Gilford current white out and blizzard conditions with plenty of accumulation!

I'm a mile from Welch on Camp, and there's certainly no grass showing here

Default Video Clip

Here's a video clip I just made from my camp on Welch...Zero accumulation! Any snow you see was there before the storm. I know its weird as 1 1/2 miles south of there at my mainland home we got 10" of wet heavy crap!!

I wonder if all these variances had to do with the strong wind also?

When I looked at my cameras during the storm, it looked more like rain than snow was falling...

We have a pretty thick layer on Bear, but I can see some grass at the house next door along the shoreline with my cameras. We got a foot up on the hill.

I think within the next week we will be seeing some open water again, maybe even by Monday. with temps pushing 50 with rain on Saturday.

Thumbs up

Almost nothing at my house in Meredith, not complaining. My plow guy never showed and today it looks like most of it has melted.
