Default Exciting!

Many thanks for sharing what promises to be another exciting adventure. I look forward to viewing your visual journals as well as your 2009 ice-encrusted beard! I agree with DPG... the Bahamas and/or Caribbean are much more appealing to me!

And here I am thinking it would be adventurous to spend a week atop Mt. Washington in the winter to cook for the crew.......... God Bless and Godspeed, wishing you great adventures and safety on your (underway) adventure!

Default Wow!

This is just too much. My God, the photos, along with the daily updates. Breathtaking. Things that most of us can only hope to see on TV.

B.I. I wonder if you might tell us of the costs associated with such a trip???
I can't begin to imagine....

Default Thanks BI!!

I've been following your blog and really enjoy seeing your photos. It's a trip that I will probably never get to take, but it's been wonderful to see what it's like! What camera are you using for your pics? Everything looks so clear and beautiful!
Thanks for letting us "tag along" so to speak.

His last report was as of yesterday the 10th.They were headed across the open sea to Cape Horn and he hoped to make it there by Thursday. They had some damage that required going up the mast and was determined to be to dangerous to repair in the high seas.Quite an adventure to say the least.

Thank you for all the kind comments. It was an incredible trip! While I was gone Virgin Galactic send me a beautiful scale model of the SS2 Spacecraft that I hope is my next trip.

Fox Channel 25 came to the house today and interviewed me about my trip. I also provided some of my videos and pictures. They also shot the model.

A piece is expected to run tonight at 10 and 11 PM on Fox.

To answer a couple of questions: Costs are 350 euros per person per day. Camera is a Canon Power Shot A540. I wanted a camera with a view finder because its often to bright to watch the display. I also wanted a camera that uses two AA batteries so I can use the same "Energizer Lithium" batteries I use on my other equipment. They are much more powerful than alkaline batteries and work down to 40 below.

Sunbeam - CAM #1 is working on dialup. Other cameras are on Metrocast Cable, they say they will fix it in April or May. I will not hold my breath.

SIKSUKR - Sorry, you email must have fallen through a crack in the ice.
