EXIT 11 Off Route 16
Heard on the radio this morning that Exit 11 off Route 16 is going to be closed for construction for a few months and I'm having a brain bubble as to which exit that is -- is that the one to take to get up to Alton? Thanks!

You might be thinking Route 11, Farmington Rd which is exit 15 which is how I go to Alton.

Nope
You go through the Rochester tolls heading towards the lakes region, and the first exit is exit 11, to Old Dover Rd, which is where the construction basically starts. The next exit is Rte 125 where the majority of the construction has been going on for the past year or more. then you have exit 13 where Lowes etc. are located. As RISY said, Lakes region exit is 15.

It was definitely EXIT 11, the newscaster said -- so now I'm clear on which exit it is. For all of the years I've been coming up there, one would think I could keep Route 11 and Exit 11 straight, eh? (And yes, I am blonde! )
Thank you both for your help, and btw RISY, haven't I seen you on the Mt. Washington forum also? I'm not a member there, I just read -- so far -- one of my goals/dreams is to be a volunteer cook up on the rockpile!

Know the feeling
Being blonde, or senior moments (on my part), make life interesting at the least.

BTW: I confuse route and exit numbers all the time, I had to look it up on my DeLorme map to get the exit number .... and I am not blond
